Development One
My Plan
Within my development I hope to...
1. combine influences from each of my 3 chosen artists
2. make sure my work is about my theme
3. include my own research and ideas
My first try at this is in Development 1. I will make a film of my friend smearing face paint - using multiple clips in reverse and going normally.
Taking my Photos/Footage
In this photoshoot I intend to...
Use an LGBTQ+ model for me as representation is important to me. Having a cisgender heterosexual model would defeat the purpose of my project.
I will need a DSLR camera and studio lighting to take my photos. I will bring face paint in so that I can paint my friends.
I do not need to take my photos in a specific location but I will take them on a white background.
I will use the formal element of colour and the compositional rule of centre eye dominant when taking my photos.

My Outcome
To edit my film of Abi smearing face paint, I opened it in Adobe Premiere Pro and imported the videos that I had taken. Once I had done that I cut the clips to what section I wanted and put it into an order that I was happy with. I reversed and sped up some of the clips and added transitions to/from black at the start and the end. Lastly, I added a song that is pretty large in the LGBTQ+ community so that I can better reflect it.
Review
How has it gone?
It has gone very well overall and I think the music is a nice vibe for the film!
What are you pleased about?
I am pleased about the smudging of the facepaint because I think it looks really cool.
In my next Development
To make my next development work even better I need to:
Keep doing: Picking music that matches the film.
Do less of: Not being particularly directing towards the model.
Do more of: Take more footage so that I have more to work with.
