My Response to Nick Fancher's work
My Response Plan
To respond to the work of Nick Fancher, I intend to take and edit photos in Photoshop.
My work will link to my artist because I will also use dramatic and colourful lighting and a colourful backdrop.
I will need my friend Abi to model for me because she is LGBTQ+ and representation matters!!!
The equipment I need will be a DSLR camera, a ring light with gels and a colourful background to get the best lighting effect.
I will take my photos in the school classroom with a purple backdrop.
I will include the compositional rules and formal elements of colour, centre eye dominant and tone (contrast).
This will link to my theme by having the colours of the bisexual flag.

My Two Photoshop Edits

To edit my photo of Abi I opened it in Adobe Photoshop and started trying to make the bisexual flag look like it was made from lighting. I then lessened the brightness and increased the contrast so that the colours stood out more. I then used the dodge tool to add a few highlights. Finally, I added a layer and painted blue & pink stripes to the photo and adjusted the opacity to give the illusion of lights.
For the __ photo, I opened it in Adobe Photoshop and changed the brightness and contrast of the image. Then I added a layer and changed the opacity so that I could paintthe colours of the bi flag onto the image to give the impression that it was made through lighting.
I think my first photo is better as my model is doing the same pose that the artist's model is.
