My Response to Suzanne Saroff's work
My Response Plan
To respond to the work of Suzanne Saroff, I intend to take and edit photos in photoshop

My work will link to my artist because I will also use colourful fruit and glasses to reflect and distort the fruit behind it

I will need to bring fruit/vegetables and glasses to use because that is what my photographer uses.

The equipment I need will be DSLR camera, studio lighting to make the photo bright, glass spheres, glasses and interesting fruit

Do you need to take your photos/film at a specific location, or with a specific background? I need a plain background and i will take the photos inside with bright lighting.

I will include the compositional rules and formal elements of pattern , framing, colour, rule of thirds, shape and form and negative space

This will link to my theme with the edges of the glasses.

My Raw Photographs
My Three Photoshop Edits
To edit my photo of the melon I opened it in Adobe Photoshop and first I cropped the photo so that there wasnt as much negative space and then I enhanced the saturation, brightness and vibrance to make the colours of the melon stand out more. Then I used the spot healing brush tool to get rid of the bits in the image that I didn't want like some bits of dirt on the white background. I also used the spot healing brush tool to get rid of the reflection of the light on the glasses so they were completely clear.
To edit the kiwi photo I opened it in Adobe Photoshop and and first I cropped the photo so that there wasnt as much negative space and then I enhanced the saturation, brightness and vibrance to make the colours of the kiwis stand out more. Then I used the spot healing brush tool to get rid of the bits in the image that I didn't want as there was some bits of dust and dirt in the background. I also used the spot healing brush tool to get rid of the reflection of the light on the glasses so they were completely clear and you could see the kiwi clearly.
For the melon photo, I opened it in Adobe Photoshop and then I cropped the photo so that there wasn't as much negative space and made sure the subject of my photo was in the centre of the photo. Then I enhanced the saturation, brightness and vibrance to make the colours of the grapefruit stand out more. Then I used the spot healing brush tool to get rid of the bits in the image that I didn't want like some bits of dirt on the white background. I also used the spot healing brush tool to get rid of the reflection of the light on the glasses and the glass ball so they were completely clear.

Which edit do you feel has been the most successful and why (link this to your photographers and theme)? I think that the kiwi photo was the most successful because I like how I placed the kiwis and how the glass distorted them. I think that the kiwi photo is the most similar to Suzanne Saroff's photos because the distortion through the glasses is more interesting than the other photos.
