My Response to sebastian magnani's work
My Response Plan
To respond to the work of Magnani, I intend to take photos and edit them in Photoshop
My work will link to my artist because I will also use circular mirrors to reflect scenery like Magnani does.
I will need a circular mirror or mirrors and flowers/nature to photograph. The equipment I need will be my Nikon camera and SD card, the circular mirror and reflection of scenery.
I will include the compositional rules and formal elements of leading lines, reflection ad negative space.
This will link to my theme because home has connotations of purity and warmth which can be seen through nature and sunsets. I will choose sunset coloured flowers to photograph.

My Three Photoshop Edits
To edit my first photo I opened it in Adobe Photoshop and adjusted the brightness to 40 and the contrast to 33 to add depth and clarity to the image. I've also upped the saturation of the image to improve the quality. I then used the sharpen tool to improve the reflection and make it the real centrepiece of the photo and then further blurred the things around it to add to the depth further draw the viewers eyes to the reflection.Finally I centred the image by cropping the photo the best I can.
To edit the second photo I opened it in Adobe Photoshop i began with enhancing the photo by increasing the brightness and contrast. I then increased the vibrance add a fresh mood to it. I then used the sharpen tool to go through and sharpen the reflection of the scenery to make it stand out and draw the viewers attention to it.
For the photo, I opened it in Adobe Photoshop and used the blur tool on the flowers which arent in the reflection and sharpened the reflection to add depth and draw the viewer to the reflection
my favourite photo is the third one as i like the blurred flowers in the top corner in contrast to the bright colours in the reflection.
WWW- i'm obverall really happy with the way these photos replicated the artist through both the raw photos and the enhancement in the editing process.
EBI- in the editing of the photos particularly the second, i may have overedited slightly making them look a lot more perfect and unrealistic which diverts from my theme of home. The theme itself could perhaps be stronger and more personal.
