Development Three
My Plan
Within my development I hope to...
1. combine influences from each of my 3 chosen artists
2. make sure my work is about my theme
3. include my own research and ideas
My first try at this is in Development 3. I will create a short film about all the things that make me feel at home. Through using stills of times where i feel nostalgic or through the clips that make me equally as comfortable.
The music I will use is called swing lynn. I have chosen this song as its all about a close bond the writer feels with someone. In my case this bond relates to my love for my friends,my city and its beauty. The fast paced and upbeat vibe to the music allows for creative transitions and a joyful aesthetic.
Taking my Photos and Footage
In this Photo and Film shoot I intend to capture a combination of photos and time-lapses and edit them together as smoothly and creatively as possible
Do you need any specific people to model, or objects to photograph? Why have you chosen them? - Circular mirror to mimic artist,
What equipment do you need? I will need a tripod as well as a camera to ensure for smooth and steady time-lapses as well as a circular mirror to replicate my artist.
Do you need to take your photos at a specific location, or with a specific background? I intend to find similar shaped objects in order to allow for creative and artistic transitions and room in the editing process.
What compositional rules or formal elements are you intending on using when taking your photos? I will be using shapes, negative space, and bright and contrasting colours.
Lighting Diagram - additional info
In this development I used a variety of diverse photos and time-lapses. The time-lapse which I reused from my previous development was made using the lighting diagram above. As for the remainder I used several different techniques including shapes, reflections and negative space all using primarily natural light.

My Outcome
To edit my film of a series of photos I opened it in Adobe Premier Pro and began adding photos one by one over a timelapse i recorded for the previous development until the timelapse was covered, all carefully synced to the music. Then i went on to cleverly transition to a scene of a bus journey using the masking tool to bring it in in 3 parts alongside the music. In the remainder of the film i use similar transitions using shapes and colours to match the fast pace of the music. This was particularly difficult s the end product becomes a little choppy due to imperfect timings.

How has it gone? I enjoyed the outcome of the intro however the end couldve gone smoother
What are you pleased about? I enjoyn the intro and how the music synces perfectly ith the photos and how as the beat picks up as does the pace of the film
In my next Development
To make my next development work even better I need to:
Keep doing: creative transitions. use of shapes
Do less of:Ensure the level of quality remains the same throughout the ENTIRE film
Do more of: syncing the transitions to the music as closely as possible
