My Response to North Border's work
My Response Plan
To respond to the work of North Borders, I intend to take and edit photos in Photoshop OR record and edit my own film in Premier Pro.
My work will link to my artist because I will also be taking the photographs from the UK or Iran as I live in the UK but i am from Iran ethnically.
I will need urban areas and trains and buses in my photographs.
The equipment I need will be my phone and Nikon camera. I have chosen to use a Nikon camera because the images i want to take are of large landscapes which a phone cant always capture so a camera is more ideal.
Do you need to take your photos/film at a specific location, or with a specific background? My photos will need to be taken at country sides and seaside locations
I will include the compositional rules and formal elements of colour and balance.
This will link to my theme by taking photographs in Birmingham and Iran which link to my theme of "home".

My Raw photographs/ footage; Contact Sheet
13 unedited photographs OR your raw filmed clips (no need to do 13!)

My Three Photoshop Edits/ My Edited Film Response

To edit my first photo i opened it in Adobe Photoshop and i began by cropping the photograph down to size i then enhanced the saturation of the photograph and then enhanced the contrast as well to bring out the colours in the photograph. I then added a colour mask over the photograph and then finally further cropped the photograph down.
To edit the second photo I opened it in Adobe Photoshop and brought the brightness down slightly and then turned up the contrast. I then turned up vibrancy and brought down the saturation a bit.
For the 3rd photo, I opened it in my camera roll on my Iphone and began by setting the exposure to 26 then i put the brilliance to -33 and then set the brightness to -18 and brought up the saturation to 36 to enhance .
Which edit do you feel has been the most successful and why (link this to your photographers and theme)?
I feel as though my second edit was most successful as it was taken on a rainy day which is them most similar to to North Borders photography and yellow tone in the photograph has really come through
