Development One
My Plan
Within my development I hope to...
1. combine influences from each of my 3 chosen artists
2. make sure my work is about my theme
3. include my own research and ideas
My first try at this is in Development 1. I will create a series of three photos that combine ideas from artists one and two,Magdiel Lopez and Sophie Calle .
Taking my Photos
In this photoshoot I intend to use different models to represent how are differences don't affect the fact that we are all people and linking in with my theme the fact that they don't change how we should all be able to feel comfortable in ourselves.
To combine my two artists I will create backgrounds in the style of Magdiel Lopez and use the idea of projection from Sophie Calle as well as the implementation of words. The words and quotes I will use will reflect the photos whilst also linking to my theme.
To take my photos I will be using a DSRL camera and a projector.
Throughout my photoshoot I will attempt to implement a variety of compositional rules such as the rule of thirds, centre eye dominant and framing. In addition a range of formal elements will be essential in my work with the two most important being shape and colour. the use of different techniques will make each photo stand out and be different whilst also having the same principles.

My Outcome

To edit my first photo I used adobe photoshop.
I wanted my model to look like he was wearing a black suit and as the only tie we had had black so I used the patch tool to erase the red. In addition to this I raised the brightness of the photo because I used a projector and for the colours to show there was no studio lighting used. I also increased the saturation and vibrance in order to highlight the pops of different colour throughout the photo. The finally I added the text.
To edit my photo I opend it in Adobe Photoshop. For this photograph i took it from a distance in order to highlight the different shapes so I had to crop the blank wall from the edges. I then added text .
To edit my final photo it was a process very similar to the others in which I increased the brightness and contrast as well as the saturation and vibrance in order to highlight the different coloured shapes as well as the gradiating background.
Review
I thought my first development went really well I am happy with the fact that they are all very individual photgraphs but come together really nicely. In addition one thing I hoped for when planning this development is that the text reflected the photographs and they did. My favourite example of this is in the second photograph when the words are 'Make peace with your broken pieces' and the image is full of lots of little shapes. One way I could expand this development t if I were to do something similar again is I would try to attempt to include more people and have a bigger college of photos for my outcome.

In my next Development
To make my next development work even better I need to attempt to incorperate all three artists into one piece.
Something I need to keep doing is make links with my theme as it is something I think I did well in this development and focusing on the small details and how they can affects the interpretations of the piece.
One thing I need to work on is improve my planning before I start my project to improve my time management across the projects
