Development Three

My Plan

I hope for development three to combine all three artists and take inspiration from my other developments but in a different media than I've used before.

My aim is to create a short film containing visual drawings over a film containing projection. Music will also be added to additionally highlight my theme. This links with my artists as I will use the idea of projection from Sophie Calle , the projection will be in the style of Magdiel Lopez and I will incorporate the idea of flipping the images from Victoria Siemer. The inspiration for my visual drawings has come from Magdiel Lopez. In his piece using planets there is a glowing ring round the subject of the image and is something i incorporated in development two and i wanted to see what if this was something that started to become animated.

Taking my footage

In the film shoot I attend to have a model in front of wall with a projection of a background that I ill create inspired by Magdiel Lopez. The aim for this development is to focus and improve my editing skills in this in order to use them in my final outcome.

My Outcome

To edit my video I first opened it in Adobe photoshop. Then using a creative drawing tablet I selected the frames that I wanted to draw and individually added to the animated drawing each time to create the rotation I selected the frame i wanted to use and using the polygon lasso tool to select the are and copied it onto a new layer. I then rotated the copied layer slightly more each time until it reached 180 degrees.Once i had done that I opened it in premier pro to make some adjustments to the clip such as the speed etc.

Review

I think that this devlopment has made a good start to something I would like to expand on in my final piece.I did not incoporate words or music in this development which is something I aim to do in my final piece
