My Response to laura estrada's work

My Response Plan

To respond to the work of Laura Estrada I intend to take and edit photos in Photoshop.

My work will link to my artist because I will also sculpt wire to adhere to my model's face.

I will need specific people to model wearing some props, that I will assemble myself. This is because the artist uses women to showcase her work.

The equipment I need will be DSLR camera, props and studio lighting. I will also need to keep the camera steady in order to get a clear shot.

I will need to take my photos with outside in order to get natural lighting.

I will include the compositional rules and formal elements of Shape and Form and 'Central Eye Dominant'.

This will link to my theme of Home by linking in with the key themes of individuality and identity.

My Three Photoshop Edits

To edit the first photo I opened it in Adobe Photoshop and cropped any negative space. I then increased the brightness and contrast to lighten the image and make it brighter. Then, I altered the saturation and lightness to further enhance the image.

To edit my photo of the model I opened it in Adobe Photoshop and I then adjusted the brightness and contrast to lighten the image. I then decreased the saturation to make the image come across as more calmer and mellow. I also cropped the picture slightly to make the image more in line and centralised.

For the final photograph, I opened it in Adobe Photoshop and altered the brightness to expand image highlights. I then cropped the image to eliminate any negative space. I then increased the vibrance of the image to make it brighter and replicate my chosen artist

I feel like my third edited image was my most successful as I feel like it has reflected Estrada's work very well as it includes the adornments and natural lighting. I think it has also adapted to my theme of Home (identity) as it brings together a contemporary view on jewellery and individuality.
