My Response to SUZANNE SAROFF's work
My Response Plan

To respond to the work of Suzanne Saroff's I intend to take photos in her style and edit them to look better.
My work will link to my artist because I will also attempt to use bright colours and refraction in the glasses like she does.
I will need fruit, water, glasses and a Light Box. I chose these specific items because they are the closest to what I can see in Saroff's work.
The equipment I need will be a camera a Light Box, Studio Lighting, a neutrally coloured backdrop, glasses of water and different fruits.
I will be able to do this inside the photography room in my school.
I will include the compositional rules and formal elements of shape and form, tone and light, negative space and focus.
This will link to my theme by doing it with grown/growing and changeable objects.

My Three Photoshopped Photos

My Editing Process
To edit my first photo of the fruit I opened it in Adobe Photoshop and changed the brightness and contrast, then exposure, vibrance and hue/saturation. I increased/decreased and changed most of the settings to try and make it brighter and punctuate the contrast in the colours. I also cropped the image to get it 'similarly' weighted (balanced).
To edit the second photo I opened it in Adobe Photoshop and and adjusted some of the colour settings, vibrance and brightness/contrast. I also used the burning tool to make the shadows darker and I used the blur and sharpening tools to sharpen and blur the image, I cropped the picture to try and get rid of a phew edges of the paper that were visible in the photo.
For the third photo, I opened it in Adobe Photoshop and just changed the contrast/brightness and sharpening tool to focus some areas in the photo. I also cropped it so that it would follow the rule of thirds as in the original photo it was very uneven.
I think that the first or third picture came out the best. I think this because in the first photo three are lots of different colours and a good refraction. For the third, I think because there is a really clear image of the pomegranate in the glass ball which makes it quite pleasing to the eye. They also both follow the I choose which is growth and change. Saroff has done this with lots of her photography as well.
