I began my artist copy by tracing out the outline of the subject and then I used a soft pressure brush to block out all the different shades/colours of the hair to create a base for the piece. I had the original copy in the corner of my screen to colour-match correctly.
I then used the Hair 5 brush to add texture to the piece and make it look more like hair. Followed by the hard pressure brush and the hair blending brush to add the finer details of the hair in. I had to add a lot of highlights to the hair using light shades of grey and white in order to create the depth taht Yip has in her piece.

For the butterflies, I followed a similar process as the hair by putting down a layer of the basic colours to create a foundation. Then using a thinner, finer brush I added the butterflu wing details to ensure they looked like the Yip's ones.
