Development One:
My Plan
Within my development, I hope to take a photograph or video of paint/ink falling into a tub of water, in the style of Mark Mawson, then editing it into something like a hand, along with the background of which both capturing Magdiel Lopez's work:
1. To combine influences from 2 of my chosen artists, Magdiel Lopez and Mark Mawson.
2. To make sure that my work is about my theme (movement) which has moving elements.
3. To include my own research and ideas about my two artists in this development and how to produce my own creation.
This is my first try at attempting to create this in Development 1. I will create a portrait video of a hand that is in the style of Magdiel Lopez' work with a background also reflecting his style of work, in which has an overlay of a video that shows ink/paint being injected into a tub of water, mimicking the style of Mark Mawson's photography. I will expect to merge both Magdiel Lopez and Mark Mawson's work into a wonderful creation and depiction of these two talented photographers. This will be a video that has a subject and background in the style of Magdiel Lopez with an overlaying video of paint being injected into water, in the style of Mark Mawson.
Taking my Photos/Footage
In this Photo/Film-shoot for the subject of the video, I intend to have a DSLR camera looking through a ring light (white) with a model holding their forearm in frame of the camera, so i can use this as the subject. I will also need the model to stand extremely still in order for me to take a crystal-clear image of them. I have chosen the DSLR camera and the white ring light because they help to further enhance the overall quality of the image. I have chosen to take the photos with a black background so that shadows will essentially pop more. The compositional rule of symmetry will be used so that the photo will be even and symmetrical.
To take the video of the paint being injected into the water i will require a glass tub for the water along with two syringes to inject the paint into the water. I will use syringes instead of pouring the paint in, because it will have more speed and allow the paints to mix faster. I will also require a tripod so that the video isn't shaky and is nice and smooth. I will have a white ring light towards the side to increase the lighting of the video. Black card will be used for the background to capture the light within the tub.

Review
Overall I am incredibly pleased with my first development. I feel that I've effectively captured the work of Magdiel Lopez and Mark Mawson within this development and managed to create my own piece of work that displays a collaboration of their work.
I am pleased with how I have created the background and successfully replicated Magdiel Lopez' work with cutting something into different portions which came out much better than what I had originally thought. I'm also pleased with how the video of the paint flowing into the water appears through the video.
In my next Development
To make my next development work even better I need to:
Keep doing: Carry on with the overall Magdiel Lopez esc portrait and keep adding the paint over the photo to resemble Mark Mawson's work.
Do less of: Cut back on the tone and the amount of shapes within the background.
Do more of: Add my third artist into my development so that all three of them are present.
