Russ Murphy From Bristol
'Skengman' Music video
Ruff Mercy has worked with many big artists such as Stormzy and Ghetts in creating music videos in his unique style which I find intersting, the rough and sketchy lines match the song perfectly and fits the tone set by the artists.

'Comic Book Creator'
Here is an example of mixing rotoscope with the real world. I made a artist copy of this piece as i found it to be racinating how half can be normal contrasted with the animated comic looking other half.

'Nightmares on wax'
'Nightmares on Wax' is an example of mixing rotoscoping with the real world. In this piece Ruff Mercy incorporates the same sketch lines, text and shapes to create a truly capturing short animation, in which I made my own version editing a short clip of someone walking. Demonstrating how simple lines and shapes can come to life through animation.

'AF1' - Nike x Ruff Mercy
In this piece he has made a commercial advertisemnt with nike promiting new basketball shoes, in the video we can see brokwn up distorted yet clear animation of the sillhouette of someone playing basketball with the shoes highlighted and backgroudn always shifting. This combination gives an organic and human aspect to the shoes due to the style of animation.

Artist Analysis
The 'Nightmares on Wax' was the piece that made me choose him as an artist i'd like to learn from and implement into my own works as his organic use of lines and simple shapes mixed with subliminal messages in a quick enticing video appealed to me.
In this specific piece we observe a video cut up frame by frame to give it an unsmooth flow, which simultaneously featuring lines free flowing around the screen and also interacting with the video, sticking to the protagonist as they move though the streets. Furthermore it features another scene of a man surrounded by these lines from all angles and also shapes appearing around him. This ultimately creates a spaced out surreal feel to this part, an organic almost natural feel to these unpredictable lines.
