INKQUISITIVE
Amandeep Singh an artist from London.
Why i chose Inkquisitive
Amandeep Singh, known as Inkquisitive, is an artist who creates stunning ink painting of the world around us. In particular he creates pieces mainly around his religion, Sikhism, and politics. His religios pieces include tributes to the 10 Gurus of Sikhism and the Golden Temple in India. His political pieces are very impactful, especially in media, which is who he puts out his work for the world to see. Hes covered killings of celebrities to racial genicide, such as the events in India in 1984. From his work we can tell he is intrested and invested in his background and embedding meaning and awareness in his artworkds. From this artist id like to take that ability of having deeper meaning and connectivity to my artwork as he does so well. Furthermore id like to use colour like he does, sparking life to his pieces.
'Everything else can wait, but not agriculture'
Inkquisitve made this artwork during the farmer's protest in India due to the governments wrongful passing of new laws.

'And you might not feel like nothing was the same...'
This piece is of the Toronto rapper Drake. It was his own impression of the 2013 album called 'Nothing was the Same' by Drake, despite not in ink I made an artist copy of a small piece of the artwork.
'Sidhu Moose Wala'
This was made days after Indian rapper/artist Sidhu Moose Wala was shot. It shows Sihu throughout his life however surrounded by a skull and bullets, symbolising the life he was from, while still rising to the top of the music industry.

Artist Analysis
'And you might not feel like nothing was the same' Is one of my favourite pieces from Inkquistive as it is a tribute to the world renouned rapper Drake, this was made to celebrate the release of the album 'Nothing Was The Same'
This piece is full of extra details and hidden messages which all relate to drake and his story thus far. The main attraction being his head in the centre, which is also the album cover. Some key images being the CN tower, an attraction in Toronto city the home of the rapper. Also references to previous songs such as Started which is placed at the bottom to reference his earliest hit 'Started from the Bottom'.
I think the piece is very powerful as it incorporates many meaningful details that fans will pick up and give that deeper level of connection with the pieces that someone not knowing of Drake will have.
